About Your Course
The
BA (Hons) Business & Management level 6 top-up is delivered via
e-learning. Through this course you will learn to evaluate the strategic
and operational issues facing international and multinational
companies. Designed to develop your existing knowledge of business and
management, you will explore and apply management theories and
techniques to business problems, and develop policies and strategies to
deal with them. This course focuses on developing your flexibility and
ability to manage in dynamic environments, preparing you for operating
as a manager within the world of global business.
Modules
Core modules include:
Business Strategy
The Business Strategy module is designed to facilitate and develop your
critical and evaluative thinking and its application of a range of
skills, techniques and knowledge to the strategic development situations
of real world organisations.
Consultancy Project
The Consultancy Project helps students to develop the skills needed to
coordinate, organise and manage a consultancy project in an effective
manner. They learn to apply knowledge, theories and principles in
innovative ways to the analysis and solution of complex, open ended
problems. On completing the Consultancy Project, students will be able
to work proactively to take advantage of business opportunities and
respond to challenges and have the ability to apply sound analytical
thinking to complex organisational problems.
Innovation & Change
In the current era of increasing competition and changing business
environments, companies in order to survive and grow, should manage
innovation effectively and respond quickly to change. Therefore, the aim
of this module is to address a range of contemporary issues related to
innovation and change management. Particular emphasis is placed on
identifying `the innovative organisation' and how this can be promoted.
Management of International Business
This module aims to develop your awareness and understanding of the
dynamics of globalisation, the role of international business as both
cause and consequence of that process and the variety of international
market servicing strategies adopted by international businesses.
Please note this list is not exhaustive and modules may change from time to time.
